New French-Language Child Care Service Opening in Woodbridge

A new child care service is coming to the community for those looking to have their children learn and speak French.

Garderie des Moussaillons, a Montréal-based daycare and educational program, has been chosen to provide child care services at 200 Aberdeen Ave. in Woodbridge at the new École secondaire catholique de l’Ascension, according to a news release.

Garderie des Moussaillons manages two centres in Conseil scolaire catholique MonAvenir’s schools at École élémentaire catholique Sainte-Marguerite-Bourgeoys in Markham and at École catholique Pape-François in Stouffville.

The Vaughan child care centre will accommodate up to 49 preschool children including: 10 infant spaces for children up to 18 months of age, 15 toddler places for children 18 months to two-and-a-half years of age and 24 places for children two-and-a-half to four years old.

Parents interested in enrolling their child are encouraged to fill out the interest form as soon as possible.

La Garderie des Moussaillons will contact families who have completed the form, the news release says.

La Garderie des Moussaillons Vaughan site is scheduled to open its doors before September as the permit process is completed with the Ministry of Education alongside the occupancy permit for École secondaire catholique de l’Ascension — to be issued soon.

École secondaire catholique de l’Ascension is offering French-language Catholic education to students in grades 7 to 9 in the 2024-2025 school year.
