Seniors Real Estate in Vaughan, ON
Selling a home at the later stages of life is not the same as selling your home during any other time. Assisting senior sellers and their families comes with its own unique set of challenges and as a result, selling a home can be more complex. Careful planning is required in order to ensure you get the most out of your equity. You need someone with expertise to advise you on some of the pitfalls and perks involved in selling your home, someone who can protect you and your most valuable asset.
I am a Certified Professional Consultant on Aging® (CPCA), a designation that I invested in obtaining as a result of wanting to be able to help my clients as much as possible. In addition to the experience that my 27-year real estate career has afforded me, I’m excited to have the additional knowledge and skills that allow me to provide even more specialized guidance to each unique situation!
As you may have already learned here, I have a passion for working with seniors and their families. My full-service, concierge approach is driven by my desire to make the transition for you or your loved ones as simple as possible. Not only has this led me to achieve professional designations that empower me to offer the highest level of service possible, but my focus on seniors has also allowed me to develop a network of caring professionals who I can call upon as I work with seniors to downsize and relocate.
I spend time with you and your family to discover your unique needs, wants, and goals so that I can offer you a custom tailored experience. I bring a caring attitude, a friendly and open communication style, and all of the resources you need to navigate this process.
In addition to getting your home sold and/or finding you or your loved ones a new home, I provide several additional services as part of my seniors program. During your transition, we have the opportunity to partner with several professionals, including:
1) Recommendations for local contractors to help get your property ready for the market and positioned to sell quickly and at the best price possible. This includes handymen, painters, flooring professionals, cleaning services, etc.
2) Moving professionals who specialize in senior moves to ensure your comfort and the safety of your belongings. This includes downsizing experts, professional organizers, charities for donations, storage facilities, movers, and more.
3) Experienced senior living professionals who can guide us through exploring different living options, including senior homes, senior communities, and nursing homes.
4) Trusted professionals such as lawyers, estate lawyers, accountants and mediators who have the same values and a way of doing business that is complementary to my style. These professionals assist me in representing your best interest to make the transaction go as smoothly as possible.
I know that you have many things to be concerned about during this transition, and it’s my job to get your home sold and take care of all of the details so that you can move on and enjoy the next stage of your life! My goal is to make the transition as seamless and with the least impact on you as possible. Downsizing doesn’t have to mean downgrading.
There is a specific code of ethics that professionals with this designation adhere to—click here to read through the CPCA® Code of Professional Responsibility.
