Elderly Tax Assistance

Did you know that the City of Vaughan provides an annual property tax credit to qualifying Seniors?

To qualify, the homeowner must be 65 years of age or older, and have been the owner and occupant of the residential property for at least a year preceding the application. The owner also must be receiving the must be receiving the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS) under Part II of the Old Age Security Act. This credit is not automatically applied to your taxes, you must apply for it by the deadline each year.
