Final Vaughan Property Tax Bills this Month

The upcoming due dates to pay final property taxes are on July 29, the first instalment, Aug. 28 for second instalment and on Sept. 26 for the third instalment, according to a news release.
City faculties are cashless, and as a result, there are a few other ways you can make convenience payments.
Pre-authorized payment plans can be made in six-instalments or 10-instalment options, and post-dated cheques can be made to the City of Vaughan, including appropriate amounts, roll numbers and due dates printed on the tac stubs.
Other payment options include directly through financial institutions, whether in person, through bank machines, online or by telephone.
Payments can also be made at Vaughan City Hall and placed in drop-off boxes at entrances or by mail with cheques made payable to the city and sent in return envelopes enclosed with tax bills, the news release says.
If you don’t receive your final tax bill in the mail, contact the city, as failing to receive a tax bill does not exempt your property tax payments or late penalties.
For older adults, low-income older adults and low-income disabled persons, property tax deferral programs can be applied to by Sept. 30.
Property taxes are used to provide municipal programs and services.
Fifty cents to every dollar is allocated to York Region, while 28 cents is given to the city of Vaughan and 22 cents to local school boards and the province of Ontario for education purposes, the city said.
Vaughan directs approximately $1,890 out of an average of $6,778 annual property tax bill to support daily services such as fire and rescue, public works, road services, waste management, infrastructure replacement and more.
