condo development Vaughan ontario

If you’ve been following my blog, you know that suburban Vaughan is undergoing an urban makeover.

As part of Vaughan Metropolitan Centre, you can expect to see new offices, condos restaurants, cafés, hotels, cultural centres and landscaped outdoor spaces beginning to pop up in the area over the next few years.

While there are a few condo development projects in the works here in Vaughan, below are two notable condo complexes that will be coming soon.:

Expo City Condos:

Located in the heart of the new Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at Highway 7 and Jane Street, Expo City will be an exciting new urban community. The vision? To be one of the biggest mixed-use residential-commercial developments Vaughan has ever seen, presenting a whole new look for the region.

When construction of Cortel Community’s Expo City is complete, you can expect to see not one, not two and not even three towers…but five high-storey towers! The mixed-use community will include luxury condominiums, retail stores, restaurants, and recreation.

The estimated construction end date is mid 2014.

Centro Square Condos:

The intersection of Weston Road and Highway 7 is one of Woodbridge’s most popular areas, and that’s where Centro Square Condos are in development. The vision? To be a comprehensive upscale destination for the entire Woodbridge region, a hub of life, luxury, shopping, work and leisure for all its residents. Centro Square aims to redefine the way people live, shop, work, play and entertain in Vaughan.

When construction of Liberty Development’s “Centro Square” is complete, the area will feature 200,000 sq. ft. of shopping and commercial space as part of a mixed-use development. You can expect to see two residential towers and an office tower, rising from a two-storey podium, which includes a sustainable outdoor green rooftop terrace.

The estimated construction end date is mid 2015.

What do both condo projects have in common? Beautiful amenities, proximity to the new Vaughan subway line and YRT (including VIVA), proximity to highways 7, 400, and 407 if you prefer to drive, outdoor space, shopping, and plenty of entertainment and recreation options just footsteps away. The price? Units in both projects range from just under the $300,000s and up.

What do you think of these real estate plans for Vaughan? Will you be stopping by at either of these project demo units to see what all the fuss is about? If you have any questions about these condo developments or other real estate questions, feel free to contact me here.
